The Lee Westwood Schools A team made a clean sweep at the British Schools and Colleges National Finals at St Andrews Bay yesterday. They won the gross trophy with a score of 308  3 better than Moulton College,  Lee Westwood Essex school coming in 3rd place.

In the nett competition the Lee Westwood College Cheshire came first with a nett score of 302 ( the best 4 scores from the 6 man team to count)

The weather played a big part in play with wind and rain for most of the day. The best score of the day came from Lee Westwoods Kieron Waters who shot a 2 under par 70 on the Torrence course. 22 teams from all over the UK took part in the team event.

Trophies were handed out to all teams for winning their area title, medals were awarded to Easton College as runners up in the team nett competition with a score of 305. Lee Westwood Cheshire A team received their trophies and main trophy for winning the Nett team event with a score of 302.

Medals were awarded to the Moulton players as runners up in the Gross competition with a score of 311.

They also received a voucher for the new Plane Swing training aid for their college. Lee Westwood Cheshires A team received their trophies and Galvin Green tops for winning the gross event with a score of 308
