Shannon Flynn representing the ISGA won the Stirling Invitational in a nailbiting finish. Shannon started the day 5 shots off the lead, after nine holes she had a 3 shot lead over the 2 other gilrs in contention. After a 9 on the par 4 14th this put her behind again, but she fought back to win the tournament by one shot over Stirlings Gemma Batty and 2 shots ahead of overnight leader Nastja Banovec. Lizzie Prior also representing the ISGA came fourth after a great third round of 75. Both Shannon and Lizie attend the Golf College in Sussex

The weather was great over the 3 days, but with brutal pin positions and a challenging longer than usual ladies course the gilrs faired well.

The world ranking event is one of the highlights in the British University calendar along with the Exeter Invitational, which the ISGA have entered teams into over the last 2 years with 2 Individual wins and 2 team wins. This only goes to show the wealth of talent in schools and Colleges in the UK. All team members were picked from the order of merit which runs from September through to the end of the school year.
