Wellington hold nerve at Carnoustie to take schools National title

Almost perfect weather at Carnoustie whilst the rest of the country were suffering downpours, hailstones ad mini tornados. The Independent Schools National Finals were in Scotland  at the famous Open venue for their Schools Matchplay Tournament Finals.

Alex Peters wins the Individual Trophy at ISGA National Finals

Alex Peters from Wellington College carded a 67 and 71 at Carnoustie to win the Individual trophy, a Galvin Green waterproof and a free lesson with Greg Labelle at the Butch Harmon school

Loretto maintain lead to win Home Internationals

Loretto school representing Scotland maintained their lead of 3 shots to take the title. Millfield representing England took second place, with Coleraine representing Ireland taking third spot.  

Royal Portrush announced as venue for ISGA Home Internationals

The Independent Schools Home Internationals will be hosted by Coleraine Academical at Royal Portrush in February 2012. Schools that have qualified include.

British Schools National Finals at St Andrews

The British Schools national final are due to be held at St Andrews Bay on April 25th and 26th 2012. Both days will be held on the championship Torrance course. The Torrance Course, Par 72 and 7,230 yards, originally designed by Sam Torrance now re-designed with 8 new holes and classic Scottish revetted bunkering throughout

ISGA Announce Carnoustie as 2012 Final Venue

ISGA  announce the venue for their 2012 national finals is to be held at the Carnoustie Links, venue of various Majors. Carnoustie is considered by many to be one of the finest golf courses in the UK and is rated as one of the top courses in the world.

Whitgift school win the Junior open for the second year in a row. Whitgift players Harvey Byers, Andy Phillips and Kobi Mintah with handicaps of 10,14 and 18 won the gross team competition. Monmouth school won the nett trophy on what was a perfect golfing day at the Shire London
