Wellington through to National Finals

After 56 holes of excellent golf at the Isle of Wedmore club today it was all level.

The Downside B player had won with a stormer of a putt on the 18th, and at one stage on the front 9 the Downside A & C had each been 4up, but their Wellington opponents clawed it back superbly to be level on the 18th and set up a very tense play-off.

The Wellington A & C players then birdied the 57th & 58th holes to win first the A match and then the C to claim the narrowest of victories.

A great afternoon of golf played in freezing conditions which were challenging for players and supports alike!

All the best to Bill & his Wellington team at the National event in April.
